Free SEO Tools

Here are some key SEO Tools you’ll find yourself using again and again.

As a professional SEO, I’m always using tools to make my work faster.

Here’s some free tools to make your work faster too!

A quick overview of these  tools:

  • The 1st SEO tool is “Check My SEO” and it will check basic SEO factors for any page of your website.
  • The 2nd tool is “Check my HTTP Status” – you’ll use this one all the time! – checking the status of your site’s pages is super-easy with this tool! Plus, you can even export the list to Excel!
  • The 3rd SEO tool is “Multiply My Keywords” and this will save you a ton of time – just enter in the words you want to combine into different phrases, and voila! – instantly you get a list you can export!
  • You’ll find some more as I add them, so the above is not a complete list!

Free SEO Tool #1 – Check My SEO

Enter in any URL from your website & instantly get an SEO review of 5 common search ranking factors. Title Tag, Description Tag, Keyword Tag (ignore this, actually), H1 Tag and Image ALT Tag.

For best results, copy the URL directly from your browser URL address bar:

Free SEO Tool #2 – Check My HTTP Status

Instantly check the server response of just one or a large batch of URL’s to see which ones might be redirected or which ones might come up 404 not found, and download the list if you want! Note: the longer the list of URL’s, the longer the tool will take to run.

Free SEO Tool #3 – Multiply My Keywords

Easily and instantly create a combination of keyword lists to “cover all yourbases” for all the different variations of cities, states, categories etc. when setting up a PPC campaign, including Google match types!

There is an additional option (not to be used with Adwords) that will keep any spaces or other characters you may add, such as the pipe | or spaces. When checked, the tool will not add its own spaces.

Primary Keyword Phrases   Desired Variables (city, state etc.)
Desired Variables (city, state etc.)   Desired Variables (city, state etc.)

If you're using this for Google Ad Words, you likely want to leave these boxes checked.
Retain Broad Match   Add Exact Match   Add Modified Broad Match
Add Phrase Match   Add Negative Match

Checking this box CHANGES this tool, so it will generate EXACTLY what you input. Do do not use with the Adwords match types.

This option KEEPS any spaces or other characters you may add, like pipes, spaces etc. and will NOT add its own spaces for use in Adwords.

Free SEO Tool #4 – Link Variance

Put a list of URLs on one side, then a list of varied anchor text on the other side, press a button, and get a complete list of every possible variation of text link and landing page. This list can then be given to bloggers, authors, programmers, etc. to use throughout your content.

Do not vary phrases (This will create just one .html link per phrase, retaining the order in which they're entered.)

Free SEO Tool #5 – File Merger

Time spent copy and pasting can be tedious, and this tool lets you merge multiple .csv files or .txt files into one downloadable file. Just select multiple files to upload, then choose the output filetype, and press the button.

Use txt and csv files only. Large and/or many files may take more time to process.
